Exploring the New Regenerative Trail at Laguna Phuket: A Step Towards Sustainable Travel

Discovering Eco-Friendly Journeys Amidst Nature’s Beauty

Phuket, Thailand – 6 March January 2026 — If you’re planning a visit to Phuket, be sure to check out the exciting new addition to ลากูน่า ภูเก็ต: a 2.5-kilometre regenerative trail. This trail is designed to enhance travellers’ experience while supporting sustainability efforts at Asia’s premier integrated resort destination.

The regenerative trail serves as a central hub, connecting six hotels and resorts within Laguna Phuket. It offers visitors a unique, walkable experience that weaves through beautifully landscaped parks, cultural spaces, wellbeing areas, and stunning beachfront environments. As visitors stroll along the trail, they will encounter a range of attractions designed to enhance their visit. From thoughtfully designed welcome areas to community parks that host seasonal outdoor art installations, the trail invites visitors to immerse themselves in nature. Notably, it features serene herb gardens and therapy parks, which are ideal for those looking to unwind and reconnect. Mindfulness zones by the beach allow visitors to pause and appreciate the peaceful surroundings, making each visit a unique experience filled with new and memorable moments as the seasons change.

In addition to enhancing guest experiences, Laguna Phuket is committed to reducing its carbon footprint. In November 2025, the integrated resort destination introduced a fleet of fully electric shuttle vehicles to connect its six hotels, resorts and key facilities. This initiative not only provides quieter, cleaner transportation but also aligns with a broader plan to promote low-carbon mobility across the integrated resort destination. With expanded electric vehicle charging stations and ongoing efforts to reduce internal transport emissions, Laguna Phuket is setting a standard for sustainable travel experiences.

Laguna Phuket’s sustainability initiatives extend well beyond the new trail. Since its inception in 1994, the Sea Turtle Conservation Programme has successfully released over 2,294 sea turtles, involving more than 5,000 participants involved in various conservation activities alongside local marine centres. Additionally, their commitment to biodiversity is evident in their mangrove restoration efforts, which have resulted in the planting of over 35,500 mangrove saplings since 2007, thereby aiding coastal resilience and enriching local ecosystems.

Laguna Phuket’s dedication to sustainability has earned it EarthCheck certification at the precinct level, achieving Gold Status since 2020. This prestigious recognition involves annual audits that assess energy use, water management, waste practices, and emissions. Furthermore, all hotels within its compound are certified under the Trusted Thailand program, ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental management standards.
