Laguna Golf Phuket and Viya Expand Golf Opportunities Through New Reciprocal Club Agreement
Golfers travelling between Thailand and the UAE now have more opportunities to experience leading golf destinations following a new reciprocal club agreement between ลากูน่า กอล์ฟ ภูเก็ต and Viya, which operates six golf clubs across the UAE, including Emirates Golf Club and Jumeirah Golf Estates.
The agreement gives members of ลากูน่า กอล์ฟ ภูเก็ต to enjoy preferential green fee rates and select benefits at participating Viya golf clubs. In return, Viya members visiting Thailand will receive similar advantages at Laguna Golf Phuket, creating new opportunities to play, explore and connect through golf across both destinations.
“We are delighted to partner with Viya, one of the region’s most respected golf organisations,” said Stephen Chick, General Manager of Laguna Golf Phuket. “This agreement significantly enhances membership value by granting our members access to some of the finest golf clubs in the UAE, while welcoming Viya members to discover ลากูน่า กอล์ฟ ภูเก็ต and the wider ลากูน่า ภูเก็ต destination.”
ลากูน่า กอล์ฟ ภูเก็ต is located within ลากูน่า ภูเก็ต, Asia’s premier integrated resort destination. It features an award-winning championship golf course alongside the convenience of a complete resort experience. Members and visiting golfers can enjoy luxury accommodations, diverse dining options, wellness experiences, and a variety of leisure activities in addition to their time on the course.
For golfers travelling to the UAE, Viya’s portfolio includes some of the country’s most recognised golf venues, including Emirates Golf Club, host of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, and Jumeirah Golf Estates, home of the DP World Tour Championship.
“Reciprocal club agreements are one of the ways we can provide our members with added value and access to quality golf experiences while travelling,” said Christopher May, Chief Executive Officer of Viya. “We are pleased to partner with ลากูน่า กอล์ฟ ภูเก็ต and extend these additional benefits to members of both organisations.”
The new agreement is supported by convenient air connectivity between Phuket and the UAE, making it easier for golfers to combine leisure travel with their passion for the game. Emirates operates three daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Phuket, while Etihad Airways operates two daily non-stop services between Abu Dhabi and Phuket.
For members, this means greater flexibility to discover new courses and experiences while travelling between two of the region’s key tourism and business hubs. Whether heading to Phuket for a golf getaway or travelling to the UAE to experience its renowned championship courses, the reciprocal agreement adds another dimension to membership in both organisations.
The reciprocal club agreement takes effect immediately. Rates, access and benefits are subject to the individual clubs’ terms and conditions, so members encouraged to contact their respective golf clubs for the latest information on eligibility, availability and bookings. With two destinations known for exceptional golf, hospitality and experiences, the agreement opens the door to more opportunities for members to enjoy the game beyond their home course – ranging from the tropical surroundings of ลากูน่า ภูเก็ต to the championship courses of the UAE.
