La Trattoria is one of Thailand's Best Restaurants 2012

Phuket, Thailand – Dusit Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket's award-winning Italian restaurant La Trattoria has maintained its status as one of Thailand's Best Restaurants 2012 for the fourth consecutive year among readers of Thailand Tattler magazine.

“I was delighted to learn that La Trattoriamade the list of Thailand's Best Restaurants once again,” said Mr Peter Komposch, General Manager of Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket. “We first won this award in 2007 I strongly believed that the four essential ingredients for its success are its charming setting, unforgettable gastronomy, the impeccable service and reasonable prices,” continued Mr Komposch.

La Trattoria first opened its doors for business in 1993, thereby becoming Laguna Phuket's only Italian fine dining venue.Its Executive Chef, Italian native Silvano Amolini, was a Junior Sou Chef at Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket in 1993 and, 16 years later, he emigrated to the island and resumed working at the resort, overseeing its five restaurants, including La Trattoria.

Chef Amolini's exceptional dishes include ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese in sun-dried tomatoes sauce. Other menu standouts include grilled sea bass fillet with fresh tomato, potato and asparagus tips, and the melt-in-the-mouth dessert, Sicilian cannoli with goat's cheese ricotta, candied fruits and chocolate shavings.
