Laguna Phuket eyes India market with first ever Indian road show
Laguna Phuket has conducted its first ever road show in India to strengthen ties with the Indian travel market and trade fraternity ahead of the 2011/12 peak tourist season.
The Laguna Phuket India Road Show took place from 14-16 October in the cities of Delhi and Mumbai. Twelve delegates from the Laguna Phuket hotels and business units participated in the two events which attracted more than 100 guests, including travel trade and media representatives.
With an estimated 40,000 Indian visitors to Phuket in 2010, Laguna Phuket considers India a strategic market for revenue and growth.
Speaking from Delhi, Laguna Phuket’s Assistant Vice President of Destination Marketing, Debbie Dionysius, said:“We have achieved consistent growth in arrivals from the India market and are here to further strengthen our relationship with key trade representatives.
