1st Laguna Phuket Kids Summer Camp 2011Media Release Laguna Phuket recently hosted a three-day "1st Laguna Phuket Kids Summer Camp 2011" for 40 5th-6th grade students from schools in Phuket and Phang Nga provinces, as part of its on-going "Developing Sustainable Schools" programme. The students involved were from the two schools in the programme: Baan Jao Krua and Baan Klongsai schools in Phang Nga; local schools near Laguna Phuket: Cherngtalay (Tantiwit) school, Baan Bangtao school, Wat Thepkrasatee school and Baan Manik school; and a number of schools in the Laguna Phuket Scholarship programme. The camp was aimed at enabling the students gain valuable new experiences by becoming involved in social and environmental causes, with activities held over the three days designed to raise the students’ social awareness and contribute positively to their development. |
