91.5FM Breaks Ground with Live Broadcast of the Ironman 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championship Triathlon

 91.5FM – Phuket Island Radio will notch up another first on Sunday, December 5 when it broadcasts the Ironman 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championship from Laguna Phuket from 9am local time across Phuket and around the world at phuketfmradio.com.
 

Having already broadcast two press conferences and a fashion show, 91.5FM goes one step further this coming Sunday by being the first ever radio station in Phuket to broadcast a live sporting event to an international audience.

The inaugural Ironman 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championship has attracted more than 800 individual and relay athletes from around the world and features a field of more than 40 professionals – including newly crowned Laguna Phuket Triathlon champions Massimo Cigana of Italy and Australian Belinda Granger – all racing
for a share of the prize purse worth US$75,000.


The race itself will be underway with the first wave at 7am and 91.5FM will broadcast live coverage of the race from 9am Thailand time (1pm EDT in Australia; 2am GMT; 9pm EST – USA and Canada; and 6pm PST – USA and Canada).
