Laguna Phuket's 'Summer Family Festival' Launches

Laguna Phuket’s latest initiative, the ‘Summer Family Festival’ - an array of family entertainment and activities to be enjoyed at the resort this summer from 8 July to 30 August, kicked off in true family fun style on Friday 10 July with a launch party at the resort’s Canal Village.

Resident DJ’s from Phuket’s 91.5FM radio station were spinning tunes from legends such as Johnny Cash to Michael Jackson, demonstrating that this festival really does cater for everyone. With complimentary drinks and nibbles flowing, Laguna Phuket welcomed over 200 guests to the party where giveaways, including spa treatments, accommodation and dining prizes were passed on to guests throughout the evening.

Festivities built up to a crescendo with the announcement of the lucky winner of a Laguna Tours luxury speedboat trip for six people to the Phi Phi Islands, valued at 40,000 THB, was won by joining a ‘text in’ competition with 91.5FM.

During the festival the resort will offer a daily kid’s activity program from 2-5pm, followed by a casual BBQ and beer garden at Laguna’s Canal Shopping Village where major international sporting events, such as The Ashes, Formula One and the golf will be televised on 2x2m projection screens.

The Kid’s Summer Fun program will incorporate a different activity each day from 2- 5pm including: wacky games, ten pin bowling (off site); sports clinics with experienced instructors in golf, football and tennis; treasure hunts, mini-golf (off-site), rock climbing and outdoor adventure activities.

For parents to truly relax and unwind whilst their children are kept busy, the Banyan Tree and Angsana Spas at Laguna Beach Resort and Allamanda will offer generous discounts off spa treatments scheduled between 2-5pm.
